Ukraine in front of trolleybus systems renewal

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) recently started several trolleybus projects in Ukraine. EBRD Eurasian Projects in DniproBishkek, Osh, are followed now with a project serthe projects in 

  • Kremenchug, where  Municipal Enterprise “Kremenchutske troleybusne upravlinnya” of the City of Kremenchuk and the management of the City of Kremenchuk are receiving loan financing from EBRD 8 mln.euro to finance the procurement of low-floor trolleybuses with off-wire operation mode and assorted trolleybus maintenance and diagnostic equipment.

 

  • Lviv, where the Lviv Municipal Enterprise “Lvivelectrotrans”  a municipal public transport operator, wholly owned by the City of Lviv and the management of the City of Lviv have applied for loan of 18 mln. Euro  financing from EBRD to finance the renewal of Company’s trolleybuses fleet  with low-floor 12m trolleybuses  and modernisation of selected infrastructure (including diagnostic equipment, tools, spare parts and associated services) along with Trolleybus maintenance and repair equipment, and rehabilitation and modernisation of two depots and catenary network and associated infrastructure (to be confirmed) 

 

  • Zhytomir, where The Communal Enterprise “Zhytomyr Tram and Trolleybus Company”, a municipal public transport operator, wholly owned by the City of Zhytomyr, and the management of the City of Zhytomyr have applied for loan of 12.5 Euro  financing from EBRD to finance the renewal of Company’s trolleybuses fleet  with Low-floor 12m trolleybuses including diagnostic equipment, tools, spare parts and associated services, trolleybus maintenance and repair equipment along with rehabilitation and modernisation of two trolleybus depots rehabilitation and modernisation of catenary network and related infrastructure (to be confirmed) 

 

  • Mariupol , where the Communal Enterprise “Mariupol Tram and Trolleybus Company”, a municipal public transport operator, wholly owned by the City of Mariupol, and the management of the City of Mariupol have applied for loan  of 15.5 mln.Euro financing from EBRD to finance the renewal of Company’s trolleybuses fleet with low-floor 12m trolleybuses (including diagnostic equipment, tools, spare parts and associated services), trolleybus maintenance and repair equipment and rehabilitation and modernisation of trolleybus infrastructure

The similar projects are undergoing in Mykolayiv ; Ivano-Frankivsk;  Kryvyi Rih
