Executing plan of trolleybus system modernization, the city of Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) got the first five new vehicles Trolza-5275.03 Optima. The project is funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
This is the first stage of the agreement for the supply of 37 medium-sized trolleybuses to the city. The agreement was concluded in the fall of 2017. The total amount of the contract is 4.95 million euros. The Agreement also includes the training of the employees of Bishkek trolleybus operator by the manufacturer.
Over the last years it already the third joint project of JSC "Trolza" and the EBRD in Kyrgyzstan. In 2013, 44 trolleybuses were delivered to the city of Bishkek. In 2017, 23 “Trolza” trolleybuses came to the Kyrgyz city of Osh.
