Transport of Brazil on technical visits in Russia

June 3 --6 , a delegation of CEOs of Brazil transport enterprises - members of the Latonoamerican section of the UITP - visited their colleagues in Moscow and St. Petersburg. This visit took place on the eve of the UITP Global Summit of Public Transport , which was scheduled to be held in Stockholm on June 9-12 this year.

Colleagues from Brazil got acquainted with the work of the Center of Traffic Management, with  the organization of public transport of the capital.. Since 2011 Moscow is introducing the intellectual transport system – the information system intended for management of capacity and loading of a street and road network of the city, aimng to increase the traffic safety and transport services quality.

Studing the past, present and future of the Moscow Metro is an absolute "must" in any visit to Moscow. The Moscow metro stations became  a recognized place of interest all over the world, and the "underground"  tourc onducted by Konstantin Cherkassky, Director of the Metro Museum  is a masterpiece itself.

A special point in the programme was the acquanntence with new innovative Moscow transport  - electric buses. The brazilien colleagues visited the depot of SUE MOSGORTRANS  which operats electric buses. The meetings with drivers working on electric buses, as well as with the representatives of manufacturers providing services under life cycle contracts, caused great interest and regret that the capacity of the Russian market does not give Latin American cities a chance to work with Russian innovative transport.

The colleagues also visited the St. Petersburg Metro, where they got acquainted with this unique transport enterprise, as well as with company safety systems, in particular, with the automated system of online monitoring of the functional state and assistance to drivers and operators. The system called SHTURMAN  was implemented by the group of companies "System Technologies", welll-known on Russian market for their works in ensuring safety. Representatives of Brazil were able to test the effectiveness of the system themselves. .
