Tender opened for St. Petersburg trolleybuses purchase

St. Petersburg GORELECTROTRANS continues the renewal of the city trams and trolleybuses. A tender was announced for the supply of 15 low-floor trolleybuses. 

Tender documentation states that new trolleybuses will serve the routes in different parts of the city. According to the delivery plan, the new vehicles should come to GORELECTROTRANS by the end of November 2019. The purchase is carried out at the expense of a subsidy to increase the authorized Fund of St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise GORELECTROTRANS according to decision of St. Petersburg Government (April 2019). 

The maximum initial purchase price is 229.8 million rubles (~3 mln. Euro) 

Now in the trolleybus park GORELECTROTRANS has 682 vehicles, including 548 low-floor. New trolleybuses will replace the oldies.

The 2019 low-floor trolleybuses delivery must be equipped with a full set of the information equipment capable for contactless bankcards and unified cards of a citizen of St. Petersburg, with the system "Speaking city" video surveillance system, a radio informants and marquee, Wi-Fi and media systems. In addition, the vehicle should be equipped with built-in USB-connectors for mobile devices charging. 

For the convenience of disabled passengers, the new trolleybuses should have a folding ramp and kneeling system (a function that controls the level of the floor during boarding of disembarking passengers). 

In 2019 trolleybus park was joined by 10 trolleybuses with a larger stand-alone course (the electric bus with dynamic recharging), so In total, 125 innovative trolleybuses operate in St. Petersburg, their regular operations started in December 2017. 

Now GORELECTROTRANS plans the purchase of 15 classic trolleybuses.
