Ten electric buses or trolleybuses with in-motion or dynamic charging are to be delivered to GORELECTROTRANS - operator of electric transport of St. Petersburg - before the end of the year. These trolleybuses will replenish the fleet of innovative vehicles that appeared in St. Petersburg a year ago. During 2018 St. Petersburg has developed a network of seven routes operated by trolleybuses with extended autonomous run. Such vehicles can travel part of the route without connecting to the contact network. Thus, trolleybus lines can be quickly changed and extended without additional infrastructure costs, and urban electric transport becomes more flexible and adaptive to the needs of passengers.
Electric buses with dynamic charging will meet all the requirements of the modern city. In accordance with the technical task additionally to the lithium-ion traction batteries for extra runof not less than 15 km, they will be equipped with low floors, information system and outfit for people with limited mobility and people visually impaired , and with folding ramps to facilitate boarding and disembarking for passengers with children and people with disabilities.
