About: 

UITP and Busworld Academy, organiser of the cognominal exhibition, announced a long-term cooperation, which resulted in Busworld exhibition going around the world in conjunction with specialized conferences and seminars of UITP.

The first event of this kind in Eurasia will take place on October 23-25, 2018 in Moscow, when INTERNATIONAL COACH & BUS SHOW will be followed with UITP BUSWORLD EURASIAN BUS SEMINAR, which is scheduled for October 24.

The objectives of the Seminar is to held an active dialogue to determine the main trends and developments of the public transport sector, affecting bus and ebus production and operation.

Buses are the backbone of most efficient and reliable transit systems around the world and in Eurasia. Being enriched with modern information technologies and electric decision, they could continue to form sustainable urban mobility for our cities along with ebuses and trolleybuses.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

      Dr. Kulwant SINGH served as Chief Technical Adviser for the Urban Infrastructure Branch in UN-Habitat from January 2004 to December 2008. In his role of Chief Technical Adviser he contributed significantly to policy dialogue with partner countries in Asia and the Pacific and in the design and implementation of a large number of water and sanitation initiatives.
Since December 2008, Dr. Kulwant Singh has continued to support the work of UN-Habitat, with particular reference to the urban basic services comprising, water, sanitation, waste management, energy and urban mobility. In this role, he has supported the Urban Basic Services Branch in the formulation and implementation of projects and dialogue with partner national and city governments. He has also significantly contributed to the normative work of the agency by contributing to papers and publications. He has also represented UN-  in regional and international fora on urban basic services themes. He has been a visiting faculty at UNESCO-IHE Delft and Institute for Housing and Urban Development (IHS), Rotterdam, the Netherlands from 2004-2011. Prior to joining UN-Habitat in January 2004, he was Executive Director, Human Settlements Management Institute, New Delhi for 12 years. An urban economist, he was part  of the Indian Economic Service from 1971-1992. He has published widely on the topics of urban management and provision of urban basic service”.

      Sergey CHUGUNOV,, acting Deputy General Director of SUE “Mosgortrans”. Graduated from Moscow State Technical University "MAMI". He has extensive experience in transport engineering: more than 15 years he worked at LLC "Likinsky Bus Plant", including the position of Director for quality, as well as the Director of the Sokolniki car repair and construction plant "SVARZ"  (SUE "Mosgortrans" branch).

 

 

 

     Natacha FERRIER spent most of her career - 23 years - in RATP (since February 1995), multimodal transportation public operator in Paris and Parisian area - metro, bus tramway networks and urban express railways (14 million passengers per day). Within her experience in RATP, she was in charge of public relations and communications at Strategic Department for Development and Urban Policy, External and International Affairs at CEO Private Office, organization of international working groups and training.

She is in charge of International Relations Office within General Management of RATP Group (5.5 billion euros turnover, 61 000 employees, present in 14 countries) - International Strategic and Protocol Relations (visits and training courses - 160 per year), cooperation agreements with Foreign  public transportation networks,  coordination of out coming information for external sources in a new competitive environment.

 

 

     Najaf GULIYEV, Adviser to the Chairman of the Board, Baku Transport Agency

Najaf Guliyev graduated from Azerbaijan State University and defended his master's degree in Economic Cybernetics in 2001. From 2001 to 2016 he worked in various gorenmental positions in the Republic of Azerbaijan. 

From 2016 to 2018, he worked as a Director of the Center for intelligent transport management (NiiM) at the Baku Transport Agency. The main goal of the center is to improve the transport system in Baku, improve the quality of transport services, regulate public transport and optimize traffic routes. Since September 2018, he has been appointed Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of the Baku Transport Agency. 

 

 

 

     Charles HAO, Founder and CEO of eKontrol Drive Technology Co., Ltd., one of the leading companies in China in the area of providing drive systems for commercial vehicles. He graduated from Roosevelt University with MBA degree. Mr. Charles Hao served as GM for Huanghai Bus Company for a couple of years and played other major roles for a number of companies. He was also been part of programs introducing globally renown brands into China. Established by Mr. Charles Hao in 2015, eKontrol Drive Technology Company has been a fast growing organization in China with innovative drive system products, especially in Beijing, the country's capital.

 

 

     Arno KERKHOF, Head of UITP Bus Devision, 1996, he graduated as a Civil Engineer at the Engineering University of Delft after having obtained in 1995 a Certificate in Transport and Planning at the French Ecole Nationale des Ponts and Chaussées in Paris (ENPC). Arno joined UITP in 2003 where he carried out the Bus of the Future project. He is currently Global Head of Bus Division and is directly in charge of all content and knowledge-related bus activities within the Association, coordinating members’ work on the Bus Committee, its four Technical and Operational Working Groups and the UITP Industry Committee and acts as senior trainer on a worldwide basis in the development of the UITP training business.

Arno Kerkhof develops cross sectoral activities (Tender Structure platform, SORT fuel consumption referential, Standard Bus Activity Model) and is doing research on Bus Systems. He is a confirmed public transport professional with a long practical and field experience in the services as described above (Full CV and experience of Arno Kerkhof is available on LinkedIn).

 

       Mohamed MEZGHANI, UITP Secretary General, took office in January 2018, succeeding Alain Flausch, as UITP Secretary General. He was appointed by the Policy Board in October 2017 in Barcelona, Spain. With decades of experience in the public transport and urban mobility related fields, Mr. Mezghani has worked at UITP as the Deputy Secretary General since 2014, and previously the Knowledge Director and head of department. He has worked as an independent consultant and adviser to UITP for technical assistance and training projects in Africa and the Middle East, and managed a number of projects involving numerous experts and multidisciplinary teams. With a Tunisian/French nationality, he graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering (1987) from Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Tunis, Tunisia and has a Master in Transport (1988) from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Paris, France.

 

 

     Vasily OSTRYAKOV, CEO of GORELECTROTRANS SPB SUE, Chairman of UITP Trolleybus Committee, PresidentT of International Association of Urban Electric Transport Enterprises.  Being a professional rail engineer, Mr Ostryakov is engaged with electric  public transport for the last five years. Mr Ostryakov is known as a supporter of introducing electric buses (trolleybuses) with automonous extended run. He has a broad experience in the deployment of different types of electric mobility in urban transport systems. 

 

 

 

     Alexander POLYAKOV, Director of Moscow Transport Institute "MosTransProekt", multidisciplinary design and research Institute with 70 years of history, specializing in the design decisions, providing a comfortable urban environment.

PHD in Technical Sciences. From 2013 to 2017 he worked in Moscow Traffic Control Centre as Deputy Director of transport planning, information and analytical support, where he oversaw the development of transport model of Moscow agglomeration, transport planning and related improvement issues of the mathematical apparatus of the Moscow transport model.

In May 2016, Alexander Polyakov was awarded the gratitude of the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin for his contribution to the development of Moscow transport system.

 

     

     Evgeny POPOV, Director of the Municipal State Institution "Organizer of passenger transportation". For more than 15 years he has been working in the field of organization of passenger transportation, was engaged in the creation of planning and dispatching of city mobility in Kazan, since 2012 he is the heading the company " Organizer of passenger transportation"

 

 

   

     Sergey TEN, Deputy of the State Duma of the VI and VII convocations, member of the Committee on Transport and Construction. An initiator of the elaboration of the regional law "On road funds". Since 2012, he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of the state company "Russian roads" (GC "Avtodor"). Since June 2014, it has been approved as a member of the Reference groups to assess public discussion and expert support for the implementation of the action plan of the Ministry of Transport of Russia for 2013-2018. Since 2017, he is the President  of the Association" Digital Era of Transport", as well as the coordinator of " Edinaya Rossia" project "Safe roads".

 

 

      Gunter THIELE has studied traffic planning and traffic control at Technical University of Dresden. After he worked as a traffic planner in municipality of Leipzig, at consulting company PTV AG in Dresden and as scientific assistant at the Technical University of Dresden.

2013 he founded INAVET company together with professor Krimmling and other colleagues. INAVET deals with innovative solutions for traffic control in cooperation with driver assistant systems.
